Week 3: The Authenticity Engine - The Personality Trio
This week, you will use a business message you have (email, report, etc.) to learn how to move beyond generic, corporate-sounding AI outputs and create messages that truly connect with your intended audience. By mastering the "Personality Trio" of Role, Tone, and Style, you will discover how to "cast" specific, well-defined roles and fine-tune the emotional engine of your communications to ensure they resonate with clarity and credibility.
Takeaways:
  1. Direct AI Role-Casting: Learn how to assign highly specific expertise to the AI, which changes the perspective and authenticity of every word it produces.
  1. Fine-Tune the Emotional Engine: Master the use of tone snippets to intentionally adjust the energy and intention of your messages, whether you need to be empathetic, urgent, or appreciative.
  1. Native Style Alignment: Learn to use specific style guidelines that act as a bridge between your message and your audience, making the content feel native to their professional world.
Instructions:
  1. OPTIONAL: Generate a synthetic business message
  1. If you do not have a business message (email, report, etc.) that you can use for this exercise, run the optional prompt below in a new (and separate) chat session from the one for this lesson, then use that message in the lesson.
  1. Open a new chat session in your preferred AI tool.
  1. Copy the Master Prompt provided below and attach the following before you click "send":
  1. Your Job Profile
  1. Your Experience Profile
  1. The AIQ Advantage™ Knowledge Vault PDF (located below 👇🏼 )
  1. Review the Transformation: Observe how the AI uses your professional background to select an appropriate "Actor" and specific communication levers.
  1. Iterate:
  1. Use the Refinement Prompt below to force the AI to provide alternatives. This will help you see how shifting a single lever (like Tone) fundamentally changes the impact of the message.
  1. Continue to ask AI questions or direct it to make changes based on your thoughts and ideas. Try to do this for at least 2 rounds to maintain your position in the "Director's Chair".
  1. Once completed, copy and paste the Submission Generation Prompt below into the CURRENT chat session and run it.
  1. Copy and paste the results into the “Submission Generation Results” field on lab portal form.

OPTIONAL: Generate a Synthetic Business Message
Use this if you do not have a real-world document to rewrite this week.
If you are just starting out or don't have a high-stakes email or report handy, use the prompt below to have the AI generate a "Sandbox" message. This follows our Synthetic Data Strategy to keep your learning safe and relevant.
Copy and paste this into a new, standalone chat session that will be separate from the one you run the Master Prompt in.
Once you have the result, copy the "business message" it creates and use it in the Master Prompt below.

How to use this prompt: Replace any items between the [ ] with your specific details. Everything else is ready to go.
Acting as a Synthetic Data Architect, review my attached Job Profile and Experience Profile. Identify one high-stakes communication scenario common to my role (e.g., an email to a difficult stakeholder, a project status report, or a proposal for a new initiative). Generate a standard, somewhat generic, and 'AI-flavored' version of that message. This will serve as my 'Before' document that I will then transform using different roles, tones, and styles.
The Master Prompt
Copy the prompt below and paste it directly into your AI tool of choice.

How to use this prompt: Replace any items between the [ ] with your specific details. Everything else is ready to go.
ROLE: Advanced communications architect and senior brand strategist. REQUEST: Apply the "Personality Trio" (Role, Tone, and Style) to rewrite a core professional communication artifact relevant to my daily work. GOAL: To transform a standard business message into an authentic, high-impact communication that aligns perfectly with my Job Profile and the expectations of my audience. CONTEXT: I want to stop producing "AI-flavored" content that feels artificial or cold. I need a system where the AI channels the specific expertise, energy, and vocabulary required for my high-stakes interactions. I am the Director (Tony Stark), and you are the Executor (J.A.R.V.I.S.). KNOWLEDGE ANCHOR: Before answering, review the attached "AIQ Advantage™ Knowledge Vault" to ensure your logic adheres strictly to our methodologies and frameworks. Avoid using generic definitions of the terms used in that source document. INSTRUCTIONS: Analyze the ###BusinessMessage below. Cast the Right Actor: Define a specific Role for the AI to take on that goes beyond a generic title. (e.g., "Act as a senior HR business partner with 15 years experience solving human-related business challenges"). Set the Emotional Engine: Select a specific Tone from the AIQ framework (e.g., Collaborative, Empathetic, or Solution-Focused) and write a short tone snippet to guide the energy of the response. Define the Style Bridge: Apply a Style guideline that makes the content feel native to the audience (e.g., "Consultative" for recommendations or "Clinical" for technical updates). Draft the Artifact: Provide the rewritten version of the communication based on these three levers. OUTPUT FORMAT: Present the defined Personality Trio (Role, Tone, Style) followed by the updated communication draft. ###BusinessMessage: [Paste your business message here]
The Refinement Prompt
Copy and paste this into your current chat session to refine the prompt AI gave you.

How to use this prompt: Replace any items between the [ ] with your specific details. Everything else is ready to go.
I want to compare the impact of different levers. Generate two alternate versions of this message: one utilizing a "Collaborative" tone designed to encourage alignment, and another utilizing a "Technical" tone that emphasizes precision and metrics. Compare both results against my Experience Profile and suggest which version better meets my strategic intent for this specific situation.
Submission Generation Prompt
Run this prompt in your chat session to create a summary that you will upload to the lab portal.
Please be sure to run this prompt and upload the text results into the "Submission Generation Results" box on the form.
When you are done working with AI, copy the prompt below and paste it directly into your AI chat session, then copy the results into the "Submission Generation Results" box on the lab portal.
ROLE: AI Training Auditor and Collaborative Strategy Analyst. REQUEST: Analyze our entire conversation from this session and generate a comprehensive Lab Submission Summary for my instructor to evaluate my progress toward AIQ Certification. GOAL: To provide a structured data set that illustrates my growth from "conversational dabbling" to "systematic architecture," mapping my work directly to the AIQ Advantage™ frameworks. INSTRUCTIONS: Provide the summary in plain text using these four sections: 1. Participant & Profile Integration - Role & Context: Summarize the job role and industry context we worked within. - Profile Usage: Explicitly describe how I utilized my Job Profile and Experience Profile to personalize the AI's output (e.g., "The learner used the Experience Profile to anchor the AI in 15 years of HR expertise"). 2. Strategy & Architecture Deconstruction - Strategic Intent: In 2-3 sentences, summarize the specific business problem or workflow bottleneck I solved. - 4-Layer Framework Audit: Deconstruct my final or most successful prompt into the 4-Layer Framework: Context, Intent, Constraints, and Output. Identify if any layer was exceptionally strong or initially missing. - AIQ ROI™ Mapping: Identify which of the 10 Dimensions of AIQ ROI™ (e.g., Speed-to-Insight, Decision Quality, or Time Value) was most impacted by this task. 3. The Growth Gap (Evolution Log) - Refinement Logic: Provide 3-5 bullet points on how the conversation evolved. Include your (the AI's) perspective on how my specific refinements (tweaking tone, adding constraints) improved your performance. 4. Governance & Competence Check - Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) Evidence: Note any instances where I challenged your logic, corrected a hallucination, or refined a tone to ensure brand alignment. - Snippet Readiness: Evaluate if the logic we built today is "Snippet-Ready." Can this prompt architecture be modularized and saved to a Greatest Hits library for the organization? CONSTRAINTS: - EXCLUDE the actual final document (email, report, strategy) created. Focus only on the process and mechanics of the collaboration. - Length: Keep the summary under 1,000 words. - Tone: Objective and analytical to ensure the reviewer has clean data to process.
